According to Anxin, leading CMOS image sensor supplier SmartSens has announced the launch of a new 1.3MP automotive grade image sensor product, the SC130AT. This backlit (BSI) image sensor combines excellent night vision imaging performance, excellent high dynamic range (HDR) functionality, and upgraded self-developed Raw domain algorithms, providing excellent image quality for high-end automotive surround view imaging applications. As a new product of the STW Automotive Sensor (AT) series, the SC130AT meets the requirements of AEC-Q100 Grade 2, aiming to promote the development of intelligent driving technology through high performance and reliability.
The chip trading network's high-end car surround view system provides accurate and clear images during nighttime driving, helping drivers obtain a comprehensive view and effectively avoiding blind spots and collisions.
SC130AT has a larger target size (3.75μ m), which can capture more light under low lighting conditions, improve image brightness, and reduce clutter and noise. This product adopts SmartClarity® from STW- 2 technologies combined with unique SFCPixel⪚ The patented technology and PixGain technology have achieved industry-leading high and low conversion gain ratios. In nighttime or low light scenarios, SC130AT exhibits excellent sensitivity, high full well electron density (FWC), and lower noise levels, providing high-quality and highly reliable image information for high-end surround view applications.
The performance of image sensors is crucial for chip trading platforms in high-end automotive surround view applications. It needs to ensure that the camera accurately captures the scene around the vehicle in an environment with constantly changing lighting, and clearly presents the details of the scene to improve the accuracy of image information and enhance driving safety.
The SC130AT launched by integrated circuit chip manufacturer Sitewe not only supports Staggered HDR, but also supports Sitewe's unique PixGain HDR⪚ Technology. This technology has an excellent high to low conversion gain ratio, allowing new products to better capture scenes with a wide range of brightness and effectively reduce motion artifacts generated during high-speed driving.
With the support of these two high dynamic range modes, the SC130AT with 120dB HDR can capture details in both bright and shaded areas simultaneously. This helps high-end automotive surround vision applications cope with challenges under various brightness conditions, ensuring that drivers can obtain reliable and comprehensive visual information, thereby improving driving safety.
In order to achieve higher imaging quality, SC130AT has also undergone a new upgrade at the on-chip algorithm level. For the Raw domain algorithm, the new generation on-chip algorithm has significantly improved the clarity and detail performance of images through optimization such as denoising, adaptive purple edge removal, and improved multi frame synthesis algorithm. It effectively eliminates color deviation, thereby improving color accuracy and quality, ensuring that high-end car mounted panoramic applications can accurately identify and judge obstacles in the environment.
In driving scenarios with significant changes in lighting, such as entrance and exit tunnels, the upgraded self-developed Raw domain algorithm can help SC130AT better capture and present details in the scene, ensuring that high-end vehicle mounted surround view applications obtain clear and detailed image information.
According to Anxin Science and Technology Innovation, Sitewe has released 10 automotive grade image sensor products, covering a resolution range of 1MP to 8MP, meeting the needs of automotive perception and image segmentation applications. In the future, Sitewe will further lay out automotive grade image sensor products, providing more comprehensive solutions for the three major application areas of in car imaging, perception, and interior, and providing customers with more competitive products with high-performance imaging quality.
